ABOUT 3BALL USA
We first got involved with FIBA 3×3 in 2016 when we selected and trained a 4-man team of highly versatile ex-college players from Chicago that went on to win the USA Basketball 3x3 National Championships later that year.

USA Basketball selected 3BALL Chicago to play for the 3×3 National Team and represent the USA at the FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Guangzhou, China. They earned the silver medal – the USA's first medal in Men’s 3x3 competition. Alfonzo McKinnie, one of the stars of 3BALL Chicago, was invited to NBA tryouts as a result of his 3x3 play. He has since played for the Toronto Raptors, Golden State Warriors, and Cleveland Cavaliers, and is now a member of the NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers.
In August 2018, the FIBA-endorsed 3BALL USA Showcase brought 10 of the world's best professional 3x3 teams to Silicon Valley's Great Mall for 3 straight nights of wildly entertaining competition. The field featured the #1 team in the world (Novi Sad of Serbia), the top team in Asia (Sina China), and the top three teams in the U.S.: NY Harlem, Princeton 3x3, and 3BALL Minnesota.
NY Harlem (playing as the “New Yorkies”) edged Princeton 21-18 in the Final and took home the coveted $50,000 cash prize and qualified for the Red Bull USA 3x3 Nationals and a FIBA 3x3 Challenger in Edmonton, Canada. The 3-day event generated over 1.8 million live video views on the Twitch and Sina Sports platforms.
In August 2020, 3BALL staged American 3Baller, the first official FIBA 3x3 Player Tour in North America. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was one of only two 3x3 events in the U.S. the entire year. Following strict health protocols, all personnel were tested for COVID-19 (PCR) and carefully monitored. 3BALL Nebraska won the Final, led by seven 2-pointers from sharpshooter Trey Bardsley.
At the 2021 Red Bull USA 3x3 Nationals later this year, 3BALL will be represented by 5 teams: 3BALL Chicago, 3BALL Minnesota, 3BALL Nebraska, 3BALL Olympic Club, and 3BALL Omaha.
To date, 6 3BALL USA alums have gone on to play in the NBA
