We first got involved with 3×3 in 2016 when we selected and trained a 4-man team of highly versatile ex-college players from Chicago that went on to win the USA Basketball National Championships later that year. The players were Alfonzo McKinnie (Green Bay '15), DeAndre Liggins (Kentucky '11), Myke Henry (DePaul '16), and Stefhon Hannah (Missouri '08)
Three members of that team were selected by USA Basketball to play for the USA 3×3 National Team at the 2016 FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Guangzhou, China, where they earned the silver medal – the only medal that the USA has earned in Men’s FIBA 3x3 basketball competition to date.
In August 2018, the FIBA-endorsed 3BALL USA Showcase brought 10 of the world's best professional 3x3 teams to Silicon Valley's Great Mall for 3 straight nights of action-packed competition. The field featured the #1 team in the world (Novi Sad of Serbia), the defending champions of the biggest 3x3 tournament in Asia (Sina China), and the top three teams in the U.S.: team All America, the New Yorkies (Harlem), and the Hungry Huskies (Minneapolis).
The New Yorkies edged the All America team 21-18 in the Championship Game and took home the coveted $50,000 cash prize.
In Summer 2019, we will launch the nation's first professional 3x3 summer league based on the fast-paced Olympics rules. Stay tuned in to the latest league developments by visiting this site and following our social channels:
